Wholesaler / Supplier Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 (DOE) Overview We
are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support the day-to-day
accounting operations of a busy construction materials wholesaler
and supplier. This position will play a key role in financial
reporting, reconciliations, and project-based accounting. The ideal
candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in
managing accounting functions in a fast-paced, transaction-heavy
environment. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting ,
including A/P, A/R, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial statements , journal entries, and
supporting schedules. Oversee job costing and project accounting ,
ensuring accurate allocation of materials and labor. Support
budgeting and cash flow analysis in coordination with management.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts. Assist
with month-end and year-end close processes. Collaborate with
operations, sales, and credit departments to ensure accuracy in
billing and expense tracking. Provide financial data and
documentation for audits and tax filings . Identify process
improvements to streamline accounting and reporting functions.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
field (CPA or CPA-track preferred). 5 years of progressive
accounting experience, ideally in construction, distribution, or
manufacturing . Strong understanding of job costing , inventory
accounting, and revenue recognition. Proficiency with
accounting/ERP software ( Agility and PMSI experience a plus).
Advanced Excel skills and solid analytical abilities. Excellent
communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to
work independently in a fully on-site environment.
