Coach Peer Mentor - Yuba Unified School DistrictSchedule: Part-time, Availability on Mondays and Fridays 2:30pm-5:30pm, Wednesdays 1:00pm-5:00pm
Location: Various school sites within the Yuba City Unified School District
Expected Hourly Rate: $20/hr

  • Must have the ability to constantly move about to accomplish tasks or move from one place to another
  • Must have the ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, and running
  • Must have the ability to move safely on irregular and or uneven terrain Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Engage students in SEL & PE curriculum
    • Certify mandatory instructional minutes required for the program
    • Facilitate, demonstrate, and participate in games with students
    • Supervise different activities with groups of students such as games and distributing snack
    • Create a safe learning environment while implementing strong behavior management skills on the field
    • Ability to communicate effectively with guardians and all facility members
    • Basic understanding of operating and navigating modern technology
    • Act as a positive and inspiring role model
    • Demonstrate exceptional customer service for all students and school staff
    • Follow COVID 19 protocols outlined by the schoolPOSITION REQUIREMENTS
      • 1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching or child development strongly preferred
      • Authorized to work in the US
      • High school diploma or GED
      • 18 years of age
      • Completion of mandatory MDR training and any district required trainingsABOUT YOU
        • Strong ability to implement Elevo curriculum to students
        • Excellent communication and customer service skills
        • A can-do attitude and a natural curiosity for solving problems
        • Excellent behavioral management skills
