RESPONSABILITIESPerform annual review of all health & safety
programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal
regulations and reflects current company policies and practices,
complements management responsibilities, and incorporates and
applicable changes that have occurred.Establish and promote
maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions and recommends
measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accident and health
hazards in compliance with OSHA and CAL-OSHA regulations.Ensure
that all OSHA recordable injuries are properly recorded and
tracked.Act as a Company liaison for all Safety and Security
related investigations or audits.Coordinate hazardous materials
activities with other departments to ensure that Safety Data Sheets
are kept current.Develop safety committee meeting topics and manage
meetings.Oversee and manage safety and training staff to ensure
that department and corporate milestones are being achieved.Develop
and deliver a variety of training modules to support regulatory and
corporate requirements.Maintain and report on weekly, monthly, and
annual KPIs and recommend/manage corrective actions as
needed.Ensure that the Modified Duty Program is being effectively
utilized.Establish a positive working relationship with all
occupational medicine providers.Ensure that health & safety
training is being performed on a continuous basis to ensure that
liability potential is minimized.Develop and administer new
environmental, health & safety programs as required.Develop and
maintain the Rock Dove smart phone emergency
application.Collaborate with the Workers' Compensation claims
adjusters, nurses, lawyers, brokers, and attorneys to ensure that
incurred expense is minimized. Manage corporate Workers'
Compensation and Loss Control program through effective claim
management and work practices.Work with the Director of Risk
Management to ensure claims are properly managed.Oversee and manage
security and safety staff.Assist with crisis management efforts and
security activities during emergency events.Review Daily Security
Incident Reports and address open security issues.Works with local
Fire and Police Departments to ensure the safety of all individuals
on the premises.Ensure the Security Manual reflects current company
policies and practices, complements management responsibilities,
and incorporates any process or facility changes that may have
occurred.Work with other departments to ensure elements of the
Security Manual are being followed.MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge/Skills:Strong Knowledge of safety
regulations (e.g., OSHA, CAL-OSHA, FDA) and experience implementing
safety programs and proceduresExcellent leadership and
communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence
employees at all levels of the organization.Analytical mindset with
the ability to identify risks, develop practical solutions, and
make data-driven decisions.Strong organizational skills with the
ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
effectivelyAbility to lead incident investigations, conduct root
cause analysis, and develop preventative measures.Hazardous
Material Management Certification.Proficient in Microsoft Office
and SAP.Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Safety,
Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health or related field.5 years'
experience in a safety or compliance role within manufacturing and
3+ years of leadership experience.Physical/Safety
