Job Description:

The Psychiatrist will be assessing and screening patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, including interviews, medical histories, physical exams, observations, and psychological testing. You will also analyze data and results of assessments to diagnose patients. Thoroughly document patient's diagnosis, symptoms, medical and treatment effectiveness. You will develop comprehensive treatment plans, measure the progress against the plan, and adjust as needed. The Psychiatrist will prescribe and administer medications according to diagnosis. You will monitor the patient to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications. Consults with other medical professionals and psychologists. You will provide patients with emotional support and strategies to help manage their disorder. You will also supervise and direct family nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other mid-level providers. Professional Knowledge & Skills:

• Must hold MD degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved Psychiatric residency
• Must be Board certified or eligible in Psychiatry
• Must have completed and approved internship
• Must hold a valid California State Physician License
• Current CPR certification
• Current DEA license
