Physician Assistant is needed to join a high-volume Urgent Care /
Emergency team in Sacramento, providing advanced, team-based care
to a diverse patient population. Under the direction of supervising
physicians, you will deliver high-quality, efficient,
patient-focused care in a fast-paced acute setting. Schedule
Evenings only, onsite in Sacramento. Rotating 2-week pattern: Week
1: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Saturday Weekday shifts: 12:30 pm 8:30 pm; weekend
shifts: 9:30 am 6:00 pm. 32-hour evening schedule, with a 36-hour
evening option available. Key responsibilities Provide urgent and
emergent care under physician supervision, including assessment,
diagnosis, treatment, and disposition for a wide range of
conditions. Perform focused histories and physical exams, order and
interpret diagnostics, and initiate evidence-based treatment plans.
Manage patient flow efficiently in an Urgent Care / ED environment,
prioritizing acuity and safety. Collaborate closely with
physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to deliver coordinated,
high-quality care. Document all encounters accurately and timely in
the electronic health record. Work effectively within a
Labor/Management Partnership environment. Required qualifications
At least 3 years experience as a Physician Assistant within the
last 5 years, specifically in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
Active California Physician Assistant license at time of hire.
Current national PA certification (e.g., NCCPA). Active Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification. National Provider Identifier (NPI)
number. Fluoroscopy permit required for certain specialties (e.g.,
Ortho, IR, Rad Onc) or obtained within 18 months where applicable.
Preferred profile Advanced certification in a relevant specialty
area. Proven experience in urgent or emergency settings,
comfortable functioning autonomously within scope. Team-oriented,
fast learner who works independently, with strong clinical judgment
