Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric
Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: 2 years of Pediatric Oncology/Inpatient Oncology
experience License: RN License required Certifications: AHA BLS,
PALS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), APHON preferred Must-Have: - Experience
with Epic charting system - Experience in Hematology/Oncology
preferred - Charge experience of 2 years - Patient ratio experience
of 4 Description: Provide nursing care to pediatric oncology
patients. Administer and monitor chemotherapy and other treatments.
Recognize and manage side effects of treatment. Provide patient and
family education and support. Perform procedures including IV
starts and central line management. Monitor for signs of
complications and sepsis. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
for comprehensive care. Maintain isolation and neutropenic
precautions as necessary. Document patient care in the electronic
health record accurately. Ensure safe handling and disposal of
chemotherapy materials. Assess and communicate abnormal lab values
promptly. Manage symptom relief measures including antiemetics and
hydration. Utilize sedation protocols within practice scope.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning.
Recognize and act on acute clinical changes and emergencies.
Provide wound care and management. Ensure compliance with all
