Start date is flexible. They primarily work 08:30 - 17:00, with
occasional variable shifts. This is a first-time traveler position.
The nurse will be responsible for pre-operative and post-anesthesia
care. The average daily census is 10 patients, with a focus on
outpatient surgeries. The nurse should have experience with
preoperative assessments and education. Experience with medication
reconciliation and discharge instructions is preferred. Skills in
various surgical procedures, including general, orthopedic, and
urology are important. Knowledge of hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia
protocols is essential. The nurse should be familiar with
monitoring processes and recovery protocols. Experience with
charting systems, specifically Epic, is preferred. Patients will
include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The nurse
will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. Travelers
may be expected to float between facilities as needed. Flexibility
in working hours is essential. Candidates should be prepared to
provide references covering relevant experience. They must adhere
to any safety protocols and procedures outlined during employment.
