Sysco, a market leader in the distribution of food products to diversified industries such as restaurants, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions, is currently seeking a dedicated Class A Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. As a pivotal part of our operations, the role requires dynamic performance to ensure safe, timely, and accurate delivery of products to our valued customers. This position offers a unique opportunity to become an essential component of Sysco’s logistic framework, serving multiple sectors within the hospitality and food service industries. Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport and deliver goods in accordance with scheduled routes. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation and safety. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is operating optimally and report any issues or discrepancies. Manage loading and unloading of products, ensuring items are secured and handled with care to avoid damages. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with DOT regulations. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers during deliveries, being the face of Sysco at our client locations. Resolve any delivery issues or discrepancies and communicate effectively with logistics and customer service teams. Ability to operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and efficiently. Strong organizational and time management skills to adhere to schedules and delivery timelines. Basic mechanical understanding to assess and report vehicle issues. Good physical condition to manage loading and unloading of goods, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Exceptional communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. Strong problem-solving skills to address delivery or routing issues as they arise.
