JOB SUMMARY:Under direction of supervisor and/or leader, operates forklift and performs other pack stock warehouse and shipping duties.PRIMARY DUTIES:Plans, stages, calculates and loads trailers and containers.Loads and unloads trailers and containers.Maintains loading charts on all shipments and receivers.Responsible for the accurate completion of all paperwork, such as pallet tags by item, reference number, batch and quantity.Performs routine quality assurance checks, including inspecting all trailers and containers for sanitation and safety purposes and records results as necessary.Responsible for bar code scanning of finished goods, data entry into portable/mobile terminals and accuracy of each movement.Responsible for proper warehousing of finished goods, ensuring stable product and accurate counts.Constant inspection of finished goods for proper materials, pallet configuration and integrity of product.Delivers Bill of Ladings to truck drivers for verification and signature.Responsible for accurate receiving of packaging materials and ingredients, requiring verification of Bill of Lading/Invoice to physical product received.Works with other departments to ensure availability of materials required for production efforts.Perform Production Tail-Off job duties:Remove pallets from production palletizersSupply materials to palletizer such as pallets, slip sheets etc.Place pallets on octopus wrap machine, place boards between pallets, tag pallets before placing in staging area.Follow direction from Dried Fruit Production Leaders.Qualified on any and all positions of the production warehouse, depal and tail-off positions.Maintains fuel, oil and water supply in forklift.Must be able to work overtime if required.Completes records as necessary, including daily checklist prior to operatingMust be able to lift 50 pounds and maneuver 75 pound fuel tank.Keeps work area clean and orderly using common cleaning equipment.Responsible for ensuring safe working conditions and safe work practices in assigned area.Performs other duties relating to the overall effort as directed.SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Must be a qualified forklift operator (Job Code 304).Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate.Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.Must be able to write legibly to communicate product information.Must be able to complete data entry information into remote/mobile terminals, reflecting product movements.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
