Description:Job Title: Recreation SpecialistPay- $15.00-$17.60 hourly. Working Shift 1-Sunday- Thursday-1pm. to 10pm. Friday and Saturday- OFF Working Shift 2- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday- 1pm. -10pm. Thursday , Friday - Off Saturday- 1pm. -10 pm.We are currently seeking a Recreation Specialist to join our team. As a Recreation Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and organizing recreational programs for our amazing students. You will work with a team of professionals to create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for our center. Responsibilities:- Develop and implement recreational programs for our students from ages 16-24.- Plan and organize activities, events and outings.- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants.- Maintain program equipment and supplies.- Evaluate program effectiveness and make improvements as needed.- Communicate with participants, parents and staff in a professional manner.- Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.Requirements:- High School Diploma, or experience in Physical Education or related field.- Experience working with diverse populations- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Knowledge of recreational programming and best practices- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)- Ability to pass a criminal background checkWe are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Must obtain and maintain lifeguard certification. A CDL bus driver's license. Experience as a coach, arts & crafts, performing arts.Knowledge: Must obtain and maintain current CPR/First Aid Certification. Must possess a valid State driver's license. Ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months of DOH. Knowledge of various recreation/avocation activities. Ability to effectively relate to student population. Ability to motivate students. High energy level; enthusiastic.Compensation details: 15-17.6 Hourly Wage
