Job Description:
JOB SUMMARYThe Clinician is responsible for establishing and
implementing quality clinical treatment and case management for
children and adolescents with special mental health needs.
Clinicians shall provide individual, group, and family therapy as
well as rehabilitative services and case management in whatever
setting is most beneficial for the identified client. In addition,
the Clinician is responsible for completing all documentation and
written reports required by the Agency.This position will be
located in our Marysville office.PROGRAM INFO:Wraparound is a high
touch/high intensity program that provides a family-centered,
strength-based, needs-driven planning process that determines the
individualized services necessary for children, youth, and families
to live safely in family settings and avoid out of home placement.
Services/interventions are specific to each family but may include
family finding, child and family teaming, care coordination, and
mental health services for children and/or their family.ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONSProvides comprehensive mental health assessments on
assigned clients to determine the need for mental health services.
Develops treatment plans and goals based on assessed areas of needs
and strengths identified in the assessment. The Clinician shall
monitor and evaluate client's progress on identified goals in the
treatment plan.Completes all required documentation in a timely
manner for each assigned client and maintains a comprehensive set
of treatment records as stipulated in the County Mental Health Plan
(MHP) or other agencies responsible for program oversight.Acts as
the liaison between the program and family/community agencies
including individuals such as Parents/Caregivers, Case Managers,
County Social Workers, Teachers/Education Providers, and Probation
Officers. The Clinician shall work with the family or care
providers in the implementation of treatment plans and will
maintain contacts with all important individuals in the client's
life.Provides individual, family, and group counseling based on the
needs of the clients served.Meets Agency service percentage
standard reflecting expected time spent with clients, if
applicable.Completes other assigned program operational tasks in
accordance with supervisory directives.MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCECompletion of a clinical program with a Master's or
Ph.D. degree in a field of behavioral science from an accredited
educational institution.Holds a current license registration issued
by appropriate state agency consistent with standards outlined in
the Agency's Clinical Staff Licensing Requirements policy. Licensed
Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license may be considered
with prior approval from the Regional Director in consultation with
the Director of Quality.POSITION/PROGRAM REQUIREMENTSMust possess a
valid California driver's license, personal automobile insurance
and driving record that meets the standards outlined in the
Agency's Personnel Policy: Motor Vehicle Operating Standards.Must
be physically and mentally fit in accordance with the Agency's
Personnel Policy: Physical Fitness Standards and Examinations. Must
be willing to complete a Tuberculosis (TB), and drug screening
test.Must be willing to complete a personal background
investigation conducted by the State of California.Must obtain and
maintain CPR and First Aid Certification (only when required by
local county or program).Must be flexible to work nights and
weekends, may need to work a split-shift, varying schedule
according to operational need.Must be willing to work within a
culturally integrated workplace, and be willing to respect human
differences based upon protected classes as defined by state,
federal and local laws, or any other condition that distinguishes
people from one another.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSHave an adequate range
of body motion and mobility to work in a residential, office or
outdoor environment including standing and walking (even and uneven
surfaces), alternating between standing and sitting for extended
periods of time, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching balancing
and occasional carrying and lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally,
and up to 10 pounds frequently.Physically able to walk up and down
stairs routinely.Physically able to perform Pro-ACT Restraint
Techniques (Residential Programs Only), CPR and First Aid as
trained.Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in a
vehicle for traveling to recreational activities, home visits, DCFS
and court locations which may be up to 100 miles driving
distance.Requires the ability to utilize computer and telephone
systems, which includes the coordination of eye and hand and fine
manipulation by the hands and fingers for typing, writing and
working with files.Salary Range: $68,174 - $93,739 DOE
**Supervision Available!**Salary Range: $74,992 - $103,113
