The Staff Services Manager II works 40 hours, generally in an office setting with elevator access and a cubicle with natural and artificial lighting. The Incumbent in this position as frequent contact with DIR staff, representatives from other State agencies, and the public in person, by telephone, and/or email. Much of this contact is of a sensitive and confidential nature. Being in a stationary positon for long periods of time and extensive use of a computer is required.

This office will be relocating in December 2025, to the New Labor Agency Building in Downtown Sacramento, at 1416 9th Street.Minimum RequirementsYou will find the Minimum Requirements in the Class Specification.

  • STAFF SERVICES MANAGER II (SUPERVISORY)The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) was established in 1927. Its mission is to improve working conditions for California's wage earners and to advance opportunities for profitable employment in California. DIR administers and enforces laws governing wages, workplace safety and health, apprenticeship training programs, and medical care and other benefits for injured workers.
